In My Bag Collection brings luxury leather goods to Tower City

CLEVELAND — Tower City in downtown Cleveland was once home to big-name stores and luxury brands. And in recent months, local businesses have newly opened and are working to restore the feeling of the glory days.

Tianna Blackmon is part of that new wave of retailers.

"I see the potential in Tower City and I just wanted to be a part of that," she told 3News.

As you navigate the second floor of Tower City Center, you’ll come across Blackmon's shop - In My Bag Collection. With a unique store design, Tianna offers her customers a luxury experience while they shop her collection of high-end bags that are manufactured in Italy and come with a certificate of authenticity.

"Here at In My Bag Collection, you will be able to find a different style of Birkin-style bags. We have luggage, we have TWI wallets. Just pretty much any leather items," Blackmon explained.

You can customize your bag by size, color and accessories, and if you work up a thirst while in search of the perfect bag, you’re in luck.

"With each bag purchased, we give a complimentary cocktail for the appreciation of their support and purchasing of their bag," Blackmon explains.

According to Urban Dictionary, being 'in your bag' is defined as the act of being in your own world with an extreme focus on a goal. And for Tianna, who spent years as an electrical engineer before becoming an entrepreneur, her shop at Tower City is proof that she’s in her own bag. And just like Tower City, despite ups and downs, with commitment Tianna says, she knows that more success is on the way.

"If you stay consistent and you not give up, even when you have the hard times and business. When business is slow and things not going as you expect it to be, that as long as you stay consistent and with your business, that it can grow."
